I am an anglophone … I am an anglophone from BC and I think that Quebecers should speak the language that they feel best represents their heritage and not what the majority of Canadians speak (nor just beause it is ‘easier’). Canada was ‘created’ in the presence of both cultures and I think that this unique heratige is important for ALL Canadians to acknowledge. This means that anglophones acknowledge the French heritage and visa-versa.
why should they … why should they care about learning english if french is a part of their heritage? a lot of english speakers don’t bother learning any other languages!
