The one I stayed at in March was the Clarendon it was gorgeous, about a block from the Chateau Frontenac(which is great bu expensive), 100+ years old. I think I paid $80 a night during off season so you're looking at $100 probably during the summer. But you may have to book in the modern city and commute into the old city. 400 celebrations are HUGE and everything is booked up. I'm going for work and I work for the government, even I'm having a hard time getting some rooms and we have blocks of them booked everywhere. Although, by August you shouldn't be too troubled to find one, most of the celebrations are taking place in July. Good luck though. I would check hotels.ca That is where I find my hotels.
