Parks Canada employees were on hand when the Olympic flame travelled through Quebec City and Lévis. The flame stopped at the national historic sites at the Fortifications of Quebec (December 2), Dufferin Terrace (December 3) and Lévis Forts (December 4). Paralympic athlete and torchbearer, Dean Bergeron, was greeted by an audience of thousands present for the celebrations in front of Quebec Citys National Assembly on December 2, 2009. Parks Canada welcomed torchbearers Olympic gymnast Julie Beaulieu (at the Dufferin Terrace), war veteran Paul Cauchy (at Fort No.1).
